3627217100_6abd3f6c73There are many different methods that people will use to help with their back pain. Some will go see a chiropractor, others will see an acupuncturist, while others will go to the doctor for medication. All of these methods can be effective, but you can give yourself your own back pain therapy right in the comfort of your home.

The first thing that you need to do is take of your shoes, find a nice blanket, and a good movie. Get in bed and get off of your feet. Every second you stay on your feet you are making your back pain worse. So take a break, and a nice long nap. It might be necessary that you stay in bed for a day or more. But the quickest way to get back on your feet is to not rush your recovery.

When the pain has subsided enough to do exercises, here are a few simple ones that you can do. All of these exercises will be low impact exercises because you do not want to re-injure your back. That is why these exercises are more stretches, then anything else.

Start your back pain therapy with a superman stretch. Lay down flat on the ground, tummy side down. Now use your back muscles to slowly lift your chin, chest, and upper stomach off of the ground. Hold  this position for a few seconds and then relax. This will help build you muscles and  get rid of your discomfort.

Yoga contains many different exercises and poses that are beneficial for back pain therapy. When you are working out you should avoid exercises like sit ups, because they put the wrong type of stress on your back.

The Back Pain Relief Guide is a good source of information for back pain therapy exercises. There are many sources on the internet that you can use that can help you.
